Origins Ultra Trail

Set in the majestic Versamel Mountains on the border between KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga, ORIGINS ULTRA TRAIL is a trail runner's paradise. With four epic trail run routes to choose from there is a race to suit every trail runner. Runners will enjoy beautiful untouched and yet runnable mountain trails that boast a variety of trail running terrain - rocky trails, animal paths, jeep track, technical single track, steep climbs and fast descends - with incredible views along the entire route. The 20KM, 10KM and 5KM will take runners around Wetlands Game Lodge while the 50KM is a self navigate trail run through neighbouring Donkerhoek. Run past the source of the Pongola River and immerse yourself in nature surrounded by buffalo, buck and other animals as you traverse through the Donkerhoek wilderness and experience trail running at its very finest. All routes start and finish at Wetlands Game Lodge, which is situated a short 3 hour drive from Gauteng.
