Two Oceans Ultra Marathon 2025

The Western Capes most prestigious race, the Totalsports Two Oceans Ultra Marathon, takes athletes on a spectacular course around the Cape Peninsula. The next running of the Ultra Marathon will mark the 54th edition of the event. The Two Oceans Marathon, South Africas best loved road race, is often voted the most breathtaking course in the world due to the natural splendour of the course. Highlights include Chapmans Peak, Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay, Constantia and Newlands. In 2024, just under 13 000 runners entered to compete in the gruelling, but spectacular, Totalsports Two Oceans Ultra Marathon. The spirited support runners receive on Race Day is incredible, with thousands of spectators from all over the city converging on the route to help runners #ConquerTheCurrent. The Two Oceans Marathon contributes up to R672 million to the local GDP annually. When measured by this metric, it is Africas biggest running event. The Two Oceans Marathon is backed by South Africas leading sports apparel retailer, Totalsports. The Totalsports Two Oceans Ultra Marathon is run under the auspices of World Athletics (WA), Athletics South Africa (ASA) and Western Province Athletics (WPA).
