Rusty Gate Challenge

A pure mountain ultra that winds through pristine fynbos in the upper parts of the Riviersonderend mountain range and faster flat tracks through fruit orchards at the foot of the mountain. The 50km route with 2 500m elevation includes a combination of single track and gravel trails through deep gorges and over rocky crests. Undulating sections offer a welcome rest for the legs and give the racing snakes an opportunity to make up ground. The Greyton Trail Running Society is known for community-led events with big gees in large mountains. The Rusty Gate Challenge is an ultra trail running event with loads of both. Lets go.
