Alto Trail Run

On the 21st of May 2023 the team of Onsite Events and owners of the popular Run The Vines Trail Runs will host their 2nd event at the picturesque Alto Wines near Stellenbosch. Stretched out along the steep northern slopes of the Helderberg, for close to a century Alto has built a reputation as one of the most respected red wine producers in South Africa. Our inaugural Trail Run last year was a huge success although we had some scares with the fires raging in the mountain. The trails will take you all along the farm with a visit to one of the neighboring farms for the longer distance. You will enjoy amazing views of the Stellenbosch region from the top and also run on some single track sections through the forest and at Ernie Els Wines next door. We are going to make some changes to the routes to make sure that there are less climbs especially for the shorter route. Some of the proceeds of the run will be donated to the Excel Gymnastics Club to assist the club with funding to take a team to an international event in the USA later in the year.
